Plant Investment Fees, also commonly known as Tap Fees, are a one-time fee due prior to any approval of a building permit. For your convenience, the Mount Werner Water Plant Investment Fee Calculation Form is available for download so you may accurately calculate your fee. It is provided in PDF and Excel format. Once the fee is calculated, submit the calculation form to the District for review against the permit set of construction plans.
Plant Investment Fees are used to recover the pro-rata share of the capital costs associated with facilities for raw water supply (reservoirs, etc), water filtration plants, pumping stations, transmission mains, storage tanks, sewer trunk lines, and the wastewater treatment plant. Plant Investment Fees are based upon the square footage of a structure and the number and type of plumbing fixtures within the structure.
