The Mount Werner Water District delivery system is comprised of a variety of facilities. We have eight reservoirs (storage tanks) that can hold over 5.8 million gallons of water and five pumping stations.

Five of the reservoirs are utilized only by Mount Werner Water and hold over 2.3 million gallons of water. The other three reservoirs are shared with the City of Steamboat Springs and can hold more than 3.5 million gallons.

The District also operates a shared well system with the City of Steamboat Springs that is capable of producing 2 million gallons of water per day. It has a 50-mile distribution network that includes major transmission mains (16 inches in diameter) and neighborhood distribution pipes (typically 8 inches in diameter). Our service area includes properties south of Fish Creek and within city limits. We also service Sundance Plaza, McDonalds and the Fish Creek Trailer Park.
